Certificate presented to the people of Bexhill on-Sea declairing 

BEXHILL ON-SEA IS NOW A FAIRTRADE TOWN.

Bexhillis now officially part of the world movement selecting fairness and justice for the poor and is making poverty history.

we are acting locally to solve world problems

 The commitee make the follwing appeals:

   (1) everybody in Bexhill pleae write down at least one fairtrade item in your weekly shopping list:be aware that a bargin for you could be enslavement for someone else.

  (2) Each business please change to using Fairtrade tea/coffee/chocolate/snacks.

  (3) Ask for and only use Fairtrade tea/coffee in local cafes, restaurants,pubs and hotels.

  (4) Display Fairtrade information in your workplace, school, church:join Bexhill Fairtrade commitee, encourage others.

We need more Businesses!

Bexhill is well on its way to achieving Fair Trade Town Status, but we won’t make it unless more businesses in Bexhill can commit to start using Fair Trade products in the workplace. It can be as simple as just using FT Tea and Coffee, Juices or Biscuits!

If you would like to know more information on how you can help, please contact us, you will be listed on this website and will be provided with advertising materials for your premises to show that you support Fair Trade.

Bexhill MP Greg Barker Samples Fairtrade Tea and Coffee at Di Paolo's Café

Town MP Gregory Barker sampled some FairTrade tea at Di Paolo’s Café last Friday as part of the Bexhill FairTrade Committee’s celebration of the FairTrade mark and to hear of our progress to date.

Over 1000 Visitors!

www.bexhillfairtrade.co.uk has now had over 1000 visitors to the site. Set up just 3 months ago its becoming an valuable resource to help spread our message about Fairtrade and

in our campaign to become a Fairtrade Town. Please help us to keep up the good work!

Bexhill Fairtrade's Carnival Float comes 2nd!...

To further raise awarness of FAIRTRADE and Bexhill's wish to gain FAIRTRADE Town

status on Saturday 29th July the Bexhill Fairtrade committee took part in Bexhill Carnival.

The float came 2nd in its class!

Bexhill MP Greg Barker backs Fairtrade Efforts...

Speaking in the constituency last week, Greg said:

“Gaining Fairtrade status for Bexhill would be a unique achievement. Fairtrade food is something that we should all try to support when we can and in over ten years the Fairtrade mark has come a long way.

Over 800 Visitors in just 6 weeks!

Our www.bexhillfairtrade.co.uk site has had over 800 visitors in just 6 weeks or being up and running, but we still need your help! Please contact us if you know of any events in Bexhill or of any shops that we have not named on our site that sell fairtrade goods.
